CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
Submitting Abstracts
- First (i.e., presenting) author of the abstract MUST be a current ICVS member. You can find more information on membership at www.ICVS.info.
- Authors are invited to submit abstracts on any of the given topics.
- All abstracts will be reviewed by the members of the Scientific committee.
- Accepted abstracts will be published in the conference programme.
- Each presenting author may submit one abstract.
- Abstracts will appear in print and online as submitted. Please ensure you check your text and data carefully before making the submission, as changes or additions will not be accepted after the abstract submission closes. Please note that the Scientific Committee is unable to take any responsibility for any errors in grammar, spelling, or scientific findings.

Abstract Submission Deadline
- The deadline for submitting abstracts is March 19, 2024
- Notification of acceptance of abstracts will be sent by email to the corresponding author by April 18th, 2024.
- Abstracts will only be published for authors who settle their registration fee by May 9, 2024.
- Please be advised that there will be no deadline extension.
Method of Submission
- Abstracts must be submitted using the online form (link available above). You will be asked to set-up an account with your e-mail address. If you have already created an account, please sign-in using the same credentials.
- You will receive an e-mail confirmation of your submission. Please also check your spam folder. In case you have not received this within 24 hours, please get in touch with our team using [email protected].
- You will have access to your abstract on the portal from the time of submission until submission deadline on March 19th, 2024. You can make amendments to your abstract until that date, as long as it is still in "draft" format.
- All correspondence concerning the abstract will be sent to the submitting author’s e-mail address.
Presentation Formats
The Scientific Committee will ultimately decide whether a submitted paper will be selected for an oral or a poster presentation. Please make sure to indicate the preferred presentation type on the abstract submission web site.
Abstract Layout

The length of the abstracts should not be more than 400 words.

Title: Make the title of the abstract brief, clearly indicating the nature of the investigation. Use a capital letter for the first letter in the title only (DO NOT capitalize each word).

Names of the authors: Submit the full given name(s) and the family name. Do not include degrees or professional titles.

Original studies should have uniform structure (Methods, Results and Conclusion)

Methods: Do not write the headings on separate lines. Start the text of the paragraph immediately after the colon (“:”) without pressing the “Enter” key.

Conclusion: Example text.
Instructions for Poster Preparation
Posters must be brought to the Conference by the presenting author and should not be mailed in advance.
The required dimensions are 95 cm (width) by 140 cm – 180 cm (height) - FORMAT A0. At the top of poster, please provide the title of the paper, names of the authors and their affiliations, all in bold lettering of about 2.5 to 3 cm size. Artwork and lettering should be large and clear enough so that the poster is readable from a distance of 1.5 m.

Poster Viewing
Participants will view posters during poster sessions, coffee and lunch breaks, and the presentation of posters by presenters will be announced in the final symposium programme.
